In Chile harvest is going full speed ahead with hopes of having harvest completed before the end of March. After a hot dry summer the taps have been turned on in the last month with over 5inches of rain being received, so harvest has been very active when good dry sunny days present themselves. Clean seed has been exported and is now arriving at its destination, ready to be treated and put in the ground in a months’ time.

Canadian winter maintenance is being wrapped up, and parent seed is being treated and bagged in anticipation of seeding. Soil sampling has begun and even a few fields have been worked in the past couple of weeks. Windy and warm is the best way to explain the winter so far, but there is wet snow on the ground today, and a little bit more to come this week which will be welcomed by everyone in Southern Alberta; with the one exception being the already open golf courses!
